Welcome to the NEST Program

Nurture. Empower. Support. Thrive.
    •    N – Nurture: Creating a compassionate, judgment-free environment where individuals feel safe and valued.
    •    E – Empower: Encouraging self-advocacy, voice, and choice to uphold personal dignity.
    •    S – Support: Providing individualized care and structure that adjusts to each person’s needs.
    •    T – Thrive: Promoting growth, resilience, and success in diverse, flexible pathways
We believe every individual deserves a safe, flexible space where they are valued, heard, and supported. Our program was founded on the understanding that true learning and growth can only happen in an environment rooted in dignity, compassion, and respect. We are committed to honoring each student's unique journey by providing individualized support that empowers them to explore their potential and thrive in their own way.
Our alternative program is intentionally designed for students who experience significant behavioral and communication challenges. These students may not yet have found success in traditional classroom settings. These students don’t need quick fixes; they need understanding, consistency, and evidence-based strategies that address the root causes of their behaviors while building on their strengths.
While students remain enrolled with their home school, we provide individualized academic instruction aligned to the student’s IEP and current educational programming. Our role is to maintain access to learning and skill development when a traditional classroom setting is not currently effective, with the goal of increasing readiness for successful participation in alternative or general education environments.
Combining the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with the motivational framework of Choice Theory (C), we support the development of meaningful communication skills, emotional regulation, and self-determination (ABC). Each student benefits from a highly structured environment supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes school team, NEST team (Program Coordinator,  Special Educator, Licensed Educator, IEA and therapist) who work collaboratively to meet academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
Through therapy, community-based instruction, and structured skill-building routines, we provide students with multiple pathways to express themselves, engage with others, and develop real-world skills. Our ultimate goal is to equip each child with the tools they need to succeed—not just in school, but in life—by fostering resilience, independence, and healthy relationships. In our setting, every behavior is viewed as a form of communication, and every student is capable of success when met with individualized support
