LunaWay believes that our students and employees are responsible for our culture, and that we can flourish only when all are able to contribute fully and freely. As such, we’re committed to ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion in our activities. We’re working to create an environment that attracts a wide array of perspectives; cultural, social and gender backgrounds. Only when these perspectives are seen, heard, felt and integrated into our culture and activities can our programs and activities be at their best. 

 

Nondiscrimination Policy:

LunaWay works and aspires to diversity and inclusivity; and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, marital status, sex, disability, age, gender identity or sexual orientation in its programs and activities. We maintain this disposition both in our capacity as a Place of Public Accommodation and in our hiring and employment practices.

 

We maintain this policy in accordance with the Vermont Agency of Education, Title 9 V.S.A., Title 16 V.S.A., and guidance from the Vermont Independent Schools Association. LunaWay does not permit any instance of harassment or discriminatory conduct by or towards anyone. Any employee found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to immediate disciplinary action.

 

BRIGHTality’s Zero Tolerance Policy

LunaWay maintains a zero tolerance policy that aims to provide a safe environment for the people it serves and to prevent abusive conduct in any form. Every member of this organization is responsible for protecting the individuals we serve and ensuring their safety and well-being; including employees, families, volunteers, and participants. This policy maintains no tolerance for abuse. Any employee accused of abuse, neglect or mistreatment will be immediately suspended, pending investigation. Additionally all LunaWay employees are mandated reporters. As such, we are obligated to report suspected abuse or neglect to the Vermont Department for Children and Families.
